The Board of Directors of the San Ramon Valley Democratic Club has been struggling for quite some time to figure out what schedule of meetings would best accommodate the general membership. We have also been struggling with meal/cost/value issues. However these challenges are each more readily addressed when they are divorced from each other. While input on all of these decisions is valued, please be aware that there are a number of logistics issues involved in regards to the food situation that cause it to be best handled by a small group researching options.
With that said, the board is asking for your help in determining our future meeting schedule. As you know, we have been alternating afternoon and evening meetings. This has enabled people who can not break away during the day to at least be able to attend some meetings. Similarly, people who are unavailable in the evening have had the opportunity to attend meetings as well. On the other hand, the schedule tends to be confusing, difficult for purposes of coordinating with a venue, and tricky for scheduling speakers.
The board has identified four options for the schedule going forward. We would appreciate your input. Please let us know which option you prefer. Or if you have another option that you would like to suggest, we would love to hear it. Please limit your suggestion to the discussion of meeting times. It will not be helpful to discuss opinions of the meals in this forum.
The options that are currently under consideration are:

Continue alternating lunch and dinner meetings.

Move to lunch only meetings.

Move to dinner only meetings.

Move our meetings to Saturday morning.
We would appreciate it if you would rank these times in order of preference. Feel free to discuss why you like your preferred choice. What choices absolutely do not work, etc.
