The next meeting of the San Ramon Valley Democratic Club will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 23 at Muddd’s Restaurant in San Ramon. Our speaker will be Mary Alice Connor of the Peace and Justice Center in Contra Costa County. Ms. Connor is a stimulating speaker, and her subject will be the Iraq war and our possibilities of ending it in the near future. Also making presentations that day will be two U.S. veterans of that war, one of them a paramedic who treated not only our own troops but wounded Iraqi civilians as well.
Let’s start this New Year with a big turnout! 2007 is going to be a year of major decisions by our Democratic representatives and senators in Washington, and we have to influence those decisions so come and let us hear from you in the Q&A session following the presentations.
